Vertical Greetings Birthday Card

I have had this stamp set for a long time now and had never used it, so I thought it was time.

I used the marker to stamp technique for this as I wanted the different colours on the stamp.  To keep the position, I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig, so I knew it would line up every time.

I stamped the flower petals with Sweet Sugarplum, the stem with Old Olive, flower pot with Chocolate Chip and the Sentiment with Blushing Bride.  This was all stamped on a 2-1/2" x 5" piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock with rounded corners.  This was backed with a small piece of Blushing Bride placed on an angle to create interest.  A thin strip of copper ribbon tied in the chocolate chip background.  The main background being Sweet Sugarplum and all mounted on a Thick Whisper White Card base.  A few of the larger pearls made this a little classier.  Quick and Easy.

Supply List
Stamp Set: Vertical Greetings
Cardstock: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Blushing Bride & Sweet Sugarplum.
Ink: Blushing Bride - sentiment
Stampin' Write Markers: Sweet Sugarplum, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip
Other: Copper Ribbon, Perls, Stampin' Dimensionals & Wink of Stella

Happy Birthday Gorgeous

I wanted to make a card that showcased the beautiful "Happy Birthday Dies".  The whole set is just gorgeous.  It consists of the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set and Happy Birthday Thinlits.

I die cut the Happy Birthday 3 times using Flirty Flamingo cardstock and glued them together - would have been much easier if I had some adhesive sheets!  I cut out the large Stitched circle framelit using Whisper White cardstock.
The background is the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and it gives such a pop!
I stamped the flowers using the stamp off technique in Flirty Flamingo and So Saffron.  The leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz and very lightly watercoloured to match the flower look.  These were then fussy cut out and mounted on dimensionals.  A small pearl in the middle and they looked great.

The base of the card is Pear Pizzazz cardstock and layered with the So Saffron embossed hexagons.  A small piece of Peekaboo Peach, circle of Whisper White to make the Flirty Flamingo words pop out even more and a small banner of Pear Pizzazz behind the circle.  Of course wink of stella was used in abundance on the happy birthday!
Inside I stamped a couple of Peekaboo Peach flowers.

Supply List
Stamp Set: Happy Birthday Gorgeous
Dies: Happy Birthday Thinlits & Stitched Shapes Framelits
Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach, Whisper White and Flirty Flamingo
Ink: Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz & Peekaboo Peach
Embossing Folder: Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions
Other: Stampin' Dimensionals, Basic Pearls & Wink of Stella

Pretty Kitty Window Card

I really like the animal stamp sets and find them really useful for any kind of occasion.  I love the Pretty Kitty Stamp Set and enjoyed making this window card - peek through card.

I stamped the kitty in the pot on the inside of my card where I wanted the window to be.  I then put the circle framelit with the ridge side facing up and a little micropore tape on it in the position that I wanted the window to be around the kitty.  I then closed the front of the card and pressed lightly.  This allowed the micropore tape and die to adhere to the front piece of the card.  Run this through the bigshot and it will cut out your window perfectly.

I then used the same size circle and the one larger scalloped circle and cut out a piece of Berry Burst cardstock to frame the window.
The Designer Series paper is Colour Theory and has so many gorgeous options.  I coloured my kitty in with the Stampin' Write markers and then stamped the sentiment with Basic Black.

Supply List
Stamp Set: Pretty Kitty
Dies: Layering Circles Framelits (this set contains both circles and scalloped circles)
Cardstock: Whisper White & Berry Burst
Designer Series Paper: Colour Theory
Ink: Basic Black Archival Ink
Stampin' Write Markers: Berry Burst, Daffodil Delight, Peekaboo Peach, Basic Gray, Powder Pink, Old Olive & Calypso Coral.

Father's Day - Guy Greetings

After making so many flowery cards, I decided it was time to make something a little more masculine.  I thought I would try making some Father's Day cards - always good to be prepared.  I was really happy with this one.  I have used the Guy Greetings Stamp Set.

I created the background piece by stamping the car with Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock.  I then stamped the main feature in Early Espresso on the Crumb Cake and layered it by leaving a 1/4" all around.  I used Basic Black, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake as my layers.  The sentiment is also stamped in Early Espresso and is also from the same stamp set.  A very easy card that needed very few supplies.

Supply List
Stamp Set: Guy Greetings
Cardstock: Basic Black, Early Espresso & Crumb Cake
Ink: Crumb Cake & Early Espresso
Other: Stampin' Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive.

Eastern Palace Gate Fold Card

Here we are again.  I wanted to do something different with this Eastern Palace bundle that I got while I am waiting for my order to come through with product from the new catalogue.

I decided to use some of the designs I came up with from the stamp set and also wanted to try a different card fold.  Here is the finished project.

The card is constructed using only Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock.  I decided to make my own backgound paper using one of the stamps from the Eastern Palace Stamp set.  The sentiment, embossed with White embossing powder is also from the set.  The medallions are both from the Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies and backed them both on scalloped circles from the Layering Circles Thinlits.  The centre of the large medallion has the small stitched circle framelit and the small medallion has a Rhinestone in the centre.  The small medallion is on dimensionals and is used to keep the card closed.

Inside I used one of the designs I came up with from the stamp set.

Both the medallion and sentiment come from the Eastern Palace Stamp Set.

These are some of the designs that I came up with just using that one set.  I know there are many more...

It was a little bit like spirograph for some of them.  It was a lot of fun!

To make the Gate Fold Card, see the instructions below

Imperial (Inches) - Cut cardstock 8-1/4" by 5-3/4".
Score at 2-1/8" x 8-3/8"

Metric - Cut cardstock 21cm x 15cm
Score at 5.25cm and 15.75cm

It is really that easy!

Supply List
Stamp Set: Eastern Palace
Dies: Eastern Medallion, Layering Circles & Stitched Shapes Framelits
Cardstock: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Ink: Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Versamark
Other: White Embossing Powder, Rhinestone, Stampin' Dimensionals.

Daisy Sponged Birthday Card

I actually used a retired stamp set for this card, but any flower would work.

I first sponged the background blending Pear Pizzazz into So Saffron.  It gives it a very soft watercoloured look.  I then water-coloured the daisies (from the Helping Me Grow Stamp Set) using a blend of Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride.  The stems are watercoloured with Old Olive.  I fussy cut these out as I wanted them to be raised with dimensionals from the card.  Stamping them first and then masking them would also have looked great.  The reeds/grass at the bottom is from the Daisy Delight Stamp Set.  The dragonfly is from the Touches of Texture stamp set and is watercoloured with Soft Sky and Basic Gray (for the body).  It is also fussy cut and adhered to the flower.  I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set and used the Pretty Label Punch to punch it out.  I used Blushing Bride to gently sponge the label and went around the edge with a Blushing Bride Stampin' Write Marker.  The base is Whisper White, and the picture is matted on Basic Black and Blushing Bride Cardstock.

Supply List
Stamp Set: Helping Me Grow (Retired), Daisy Delight, Touches of Texture and Rose Wonder.
Punch: Label Me Pretty
Cardstock: Whisper White, Blushing Bride and Basic Black
Inks: Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, Soft Sky, Basic Gray, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron
Other: Sponges & Ink Daubers, fine tip scissors, Stampin' Dimensionals.

Window Box

I have had this set of dies for a while now and haven't used them so I thought it was about time.

With just a couple of runs through the big shot I had everything I needed to create this:-

This is the set -

They look complicated, but they really aren't. You need to cut out 2 of the large pieces and then just put the tabs together to form the box.  The other pieces are for decoration, and you can see that with mine I used one for the sides as well as the one in the centre of the top.  You can have a solid box, birthday box, heart box, or any sort of box you like.  Here is an example of the one created by Stampin' Up!

As you can see it is solid and it has just been embellished with a bit of stamping.  It looks gorgeous.  You could fill it with chocolates, a lovely piece of jewellery, the options are endless.

I just added a cheap battery operated tea light to mine and in a dark room it looked gorgeous.

I can't wait to get more use out of this box.

Supply List
Dies: Window Box Thinlits Dies
Other: Big Shot machine, tear & tape adhesive.

Eastern Palace - Just a Little Different

I revisited the Eastern Palace stamps and dies again today, just playing around with all different design options.  The options really are endless.  I decided on a design and then chose Bermuda Bay and Whisper White colours to showcase it.

There is only a small amount of stamping on this card  - in the centre of the large medallion which is from the set Pretty Label.  It fits perfectly inside the stitched shape that has been matted on top of one of the scalloped circles.  There is a small amount of stamping on the large medallion along the edge.  This along with the stamping on the smaller flower shaped medallion is from the Eastern Palace stamp set.  Bermuda Bay ribbon and a small Bermuda Bay enamel dot and this card is done.

Supply List
Stamp Set: Eastern Palace & Label Me Pretty
Dies: Eastern Medallions, Stitched Shapes & Layered Circles
Cardstock: Bermuda Bay & Whisper White
Ink: Bermuda Bay
Other: Bermuda Bay 1/8" Stitched Ribbon & Bermuda Bay enamel dot (From Brights Collection)

Wooden Crate with Flowers

I just love the wooden crate thinlits.  They are cute and so easy to cut out with the bigshot.

I couldn't help just putting a couple of little pieces of cardstock inside and adhering some of the flowers from the Jar of Love Stamp Set and thinlits.

First of all I made the crate by cutting out 2 of the crate pieces with Chocolate Chip cardstock below.

I then stamped all the flowers and cut them out - they are predominantly from the Jar of Love Stamp set and I cut them out using the matching Everyday Jars Thinlits Set.  This is a fantastic set that I have used for so many different cards - especially shaker cards.  All the hard work is done by the stamps and dies - you just have to choose the colours and sizes.

I cut out some grass from a retired set - Basket Bunch just to cover the strips of cardstock on the inside.  Lots of bright colours make this a nice little decoration for the shelf.

Supply List
Stamp Sets; Jar of Love Stamp Set & Basket Bunch (Retired)
Dies: Everyday Jars, Basket Builder Framelits, Wood Crate Framelits
Cardstock : Chocolate Chip, Cucumber Crush & Whisper White
Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, Wisteria Wonder, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Garden Green, Real Red, Fresh Fig & Berry Burst
Other: Tombow Mutlitpurpose Adhesive, tear & tape.
