Flower Shop Sadness

The Flower Shop Stamp Set and coordinating Pansy Punch have been used probably the most in my craft room.  The stamp set has 6 different styles of flower that can be used.  I absolutely adore the set and was heartbroken when I saw it on the retiring list.  It is one set that will always keep its place on my shelf...  Below are 3 different cards that feature the Flower Shop Stamp Set.

The above card again uses Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie colours.  Two different styles of flower have been stamped and punched out using the pansy punch.  Also included here are the smaller inner flowers from a now retired set called Petite Petals.  Enamel dots really make the flowers pop.  The sentiment is from the Sprinkles of Life Stamp Set.

The above card features Sweet Sugarplum, Flirty Flamingo and Whisper White.  The little squares in the background have been stamped on using the Flower Shop Stamp just randomly placed.  The banner sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set.  I love this style of card and have made many of this style, just changing up the focal point.  I love making my own designer series paper as well.

The card above features 3 of the pansy style flower in Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie Card Stock.  The leaves are die cut from the Flourish Thinlit Dies using Emerald Envy Cardstock.  Based on Crumb Cake cardstock with a strip of Chocolate Chip Cardstock, the pansies are the focal point of this card.  The sentiment is stamped in Chocolate Chip and the sentiment comes from the Birthday Blossoms Stamp Set which is also retiring.

Don't miss out on this gorgeous stamp set and coordinating punch.  It has sold out on international markets so it is only a matter of time here in Australia.  It really is a versatile stamp set.  I have even punched out a pansy of every cardstock colour to use as colour swatches.  Sometimes when I am not sure of a colour combination I scatter them on my desk and see how they fall.  I have come up with options I would never have thought of this way...

Farewell Rose Wonder

Rose Wonder is another Stamp Set that is retiring and will be sadly missed.  It is another set that will be hugely popular and will no doubt sell out fast!

Another large flower set, this one just is perfect for anyone who loves to colour.  You can use pencils, pens, markers, ink, paint, watercolour, brusho... The options are endless.  The one above has been coloured with Stampin' Blends.  I have used Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive.  It is so rich and vibrant in colour that the rest of the card needs very little.

I cut out the rose and leaves, which was very easy to do and mounted it on the card with dimensionals.  It has an Early Espresso card base with some Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper in the background. The sentiment is also from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set and is one I use a lot!  It is punched out on Daffodil Delight Cardstock using the Pretty Label Punch and backed on another pretty label punch out in Calypso Coral cut in half and glued on the back as a layer.

To finish off the card I used a few of the Glitter & Clear epoxy shapes on the rose to look like dew drops, some of the beautiful copper ribbon and some of the copper metallic sequins.  Lastly, the rose got a blast with some Wink of Stella for more shine and sparkle.

Above is a close up of the colouring on the Rose.  Big spaces for easy blending make it very easy to get a good effect with colouring.

Here you can see the epoxy shapes and the sparkle from the Wink of Stella.

Another card using the dies that co-ordinate with the stamp set is below.  I made this card last year for Mother's Day.  Die Cut in Real Red Card Stock, the negative image is kept and adhered to the Whisper White base of the card.  The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set (also retiring), stamped in Real Red Ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder; and punched out using the Classic Label Punch.  I did get a bit of glue on the Real Red cardstock, so covered it with Wink of Stella to add sparkle and covered that bit glue that wouldn't go away!!!

All products used on both cards are listed below.  Don't wait too long, as this Stamp Set and it's co-ordinating Dies wont last long and once they are gone, they can't be ordered.  Click on any of the products below and it will take you straight to my online store.  If you would like to learn to make these cards, feel free to contact me for classes - see the tabs above for more details.
